About this Website

This website has two main sections: 

 

Design and Technologies Resource

- This resource contains a unit plan which involves students learning about where fruit and vegetables come from and how it can be prepared for healthy eating, differentiations to learning activities, assessment details including task sheet and rubric and various sources for teachers to seek additional information about Healhty Eating.

   

Digital Technologies Resource

- This resource contains a unit plan which involves students learning how to collect, sort and present data using technological devices and online programs, differentiations to learning activities, assessment details including task sheet and rubric and various sources for teachers to seek additional information about Data Handling.

This website has been designed for teachers to provide resources which support the implementation of the Australian Curriculum: Technology within the classroom.

Content Descriptions:

The two resources within this website have been created and designed to align to both the following Design and Technology and Digital Technology content descriptions within the Australian Curriculum: Technology. 

 

Design and Technology 

Knowledge and Understanding:

  • Explore how plants and animals are grown for food, clothing and shelter and how food is selected and prepared for healthy eating (ACTDEK003)

Processes and Production Skills:

  • Explore needs or opportunities for designing, and the technologies needed to realise designed solutions (ACTDEP005)

   

Digital Resource

Knowledge and Understanding: 

  • Recognise and explore patterns in data and represent data as pictures, symbols and diagram (ACTDIK002).

Processes and Production Skills: 

  • Collect, explore and sort data, and use digital systems to present the data creatively (ACTDIP003)
